The Voluntary Service Club of the Bridge International School led by Ms Mukom organised a fundraising “Mufty Day” event on Friday 7th December 2018.
The visit marked the end of term one activities for the club and was aimed at displaying love and care in action for the sick. Thanks to the generous donations of all who contributed to the fund raising event, the Bridge was able to positively impact its community and pupils had the opportunity to have a great real life experience of what charity action is about.
Under the patronage of the Executive Director Ms Raina Helle, on Saturday 8th of December 2018, students paid a visit to Bonassama District Hospital Douala, Littoral Region of Cameroon. Thanks to our parents and school community generous donations, various items such as soap, were then purchased by the club for a community charity event.
This community Action came at the right time as Christmas was just around the corner. The members of the Voluntary Club visited various wards of the hospital and they were able to share gifts to patients and new-born babies and learn about their stories.
Both staff and patients at the hospital welcomed this wonderful initiative.
The Bridge International school would like to thank its generous parents and wonderful community for their donation and gifts.
