Welcome Note
Welcome from the Sixth Form Coordinator

The entry requirements into the Sixth Form of The Bridge International School is five subjects including Maths and English with at least a C Grade at the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) Exams. We equally admit students who have taken other exams including the Cameroon General Certificate of Education (GCE) examination. An entrance test is also often conducted.

Proper orientation is often given during our pathway meetings to prospective learners seeking admission into the Sixth Form to register for courses in the Arts, Sciences or Humanities. Our team of teachers in these departments have been well prepared using the Cambridge Teachers’ support Hub, syllabuses, schemes of work, past question papers, examiners’ report and lots of other resources to constantly upgrade their delivery of the curriculum. Students take the Advanced Subsidiary exam at the end of Year 12 and the Advanced Level exam at the end of Year 13 paving the way for admission into university.
We are focused on preparing lifelong learners. As a result, our key stage 5 learners are well empowered as they go through a lot of leadership and other specific trainings. They are also voted as prefects into the students’ government of the school. The students are equally encouraged to be involved in a lot of charity work, visiting orphanages and carrying out lots of projects. We are equally exposed to lots of fun activities, including trips in and out of the country, as well as practical learning sessions for students in the different departments. Our science laboratory is well equipped and adequately prepares our students for practical Cambridge exams through a well-structured practical timetable for Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

University applications begins in Year 12 and various universities are in partnership with our school. Our students often have the opportunity to get to know more about these universities, meet with the staff and other international students enrolled either face to face or virtually. We have a department to facilitate admission procedures for our students with the permission of the parents/guardians. We register our learners in the Bridge U platform – one of the most self-contained career orientation and university admissions channels in the world at the moment.
We look forward to welcoming all new students into our sixth form each academic year.
