Internal Examinations
There are three terms in an academic year. Assessment is continuous over each term. Assessment is a process of gathering and interpreting evidence to make judgments about student learning and progress. Assessment identifies what students know, understand and can do at different stages in the learning process. It also identifies skills and knowledge which students are yet to master. Assessment helps teachers to plan, guide and implement learning.
At The Bridge International School teachers gather evidence through:
Pre-assessment – Finding out if students have any previous knowledge at the start of a unit.
Formative assessments of student learning which occurs throughout the year and may take the form of presentations, quizzes, role plays, short tests, written responses, essays and reports.
Summative assessments of student learning (assessment of learning): End of unit, End of month and End of term examinations.
Reports are issued three times a year at the end of the term.
